A spicy leaf lettuce salad.
1 bunch red leaf lettuce (substitute green leaf, romaine hearts, 2 living lettuce trio containers)
1 small onion, thin sliced
DRESSING
3 cloves garlic, smashed and minced
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon white vinegar
2 teaspoons soy sauce
½ teaspoon sea salt
2 tablespoons red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
GARNISH
2 green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Rinse lettuce in cold water, then shake to remove most of the water.
Hand tear the leaves into long strips.
Toss the lettuce and onion together in a large bowl.
Place the dressing ingredients in a bowl and whisk together.
Pour the dressing over the lettuce and toss until well mixed.
Sprinkle with green onion and sesame seeds.
Serve at room temperature or chilled with any Meat dish
